HumberPR

In times of rapid change, we are all students.

Hello everyone and welcome to our Personal Brand Camp online conversation.

You can find the agenda for this, the second coming of Personal Brand Camp here.

We encourage you to please read this background post and watch the videos there so that we can kick this conversation off with some thoughts in common.

If you want to get a feel for the 40 industry leading mentors who have volunteered to charge this conversation with experience, check out this wild ride introduction.

Thanks go out to Doug Wheler and his team at the Berkeley Church Theatre for donating the venue for this great learning opportunity.

Capture the Personal Brand Conversation in Text, Video and Photos

Let's bring honour to this precious face to face time with so many amazing thought leaders by making every effort to capture the moments of exchange in text, photos and video.

Whether you are engaged at one of our round tables, participating in the Third Tuesday Toronto (#TTT) Personal Brand event featuring Mitch Joel or jumping in from anywhere via the Internet ... we welcome you to add value.

Our umbrella discussion at Personal Brand Camp will pick up tweets with the #pbcamp2 and #TTT tags or you can add photos, videos or text via the web or simply email them to 12305@scribblelive.com.

If you discover any errors above, on the various discussion threads or see any content related to #pbcamp2 that you feel should be moderated please @MichaelCayley or email michael at socialcapitalvalueadd dot com.

All of these discussion threads are open now until March 1.

Special thanks to Michael De Monte (@demonte) for holding my hand a little during set up of this approach to open online discussion and granting us a few features from the paid version of www.scribblelive.com. ; We hope that incorporating these online elements, including the use of scribblelive brings additional value to our students, but also gives our mentors (both locally and online everywhere) a chance to try out something new and interesting.

Roles: Round Table Mentors, Conversation Anchor Mentors and Students

Round Table Mentors have been involved in the choosing what question that they would like to answer and they have had some time to prepare their answer. They are being asked to stick with that one question and table during all of the sessions. Contribute to and monitor the online discussion thread. They are free to facilitate each round table session with whatever format that they believe will best meet the needs of the participants. At least once during the day, we would be grateful is they would allow a participant to video a quick clip of the highlights of their answer.

Conversation Mentors are responsible for focusing on the exchange. They will contribute to the conversation at each round table and may move from one round table to another over several sessions. While they may move, we would be grateful if, from at least one session, they were certain to capture as much content as possible in text, audio, video or photos from the round table and question that they have been assigned. CA Mentors are also monitoring the online conversation for the question that they have been assigned and should feel free to engage the world wide web community in our conversation threads by adding #personalbrand, #pr and other related tags to any tweets that may be sharing.

Students are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity. The PR agency world depends on billable hours. Just think of the value being donated to you on this day. Get the answers that you need. Connect with mentors in lasting meaningful ways. Contribute to the face to face and online conversations as much as you can. Please bring along your digital cameras.

Hi Danyel,

I met a friend of yours last week ... Sarah at Thornley Fallis.

We are trying the format above to make this as interactive as possible. If you come across any blog posts that are related to any of the questions that we will be discussion or would like to add "your take" on a question to further clarity to a mentor what you are interesting in learning.

If you are wondering about the wiki that we used for #pbcamp1 ... at moment I am not sure how or if we will integrate it after tomorrow's event.

I'm just a little bit unclear about the wiki contributions we need to make for brand camp. Can you provide some further info? thanks!
